IIMT is concerned with human resource development which contributes to
the effective implementation of Oman Vision 2040 and the consecutive five-year
plans by offering training to human resources in the administrative, economic,
financial and technical fields needed for the development process and its
programmes.
IIMT services include training programs, and organizing seminars,
workshops and conferences to contribute to HR development through equipping
cadres with the needed high calibre skills to fulfil the sustainable
development goals in Oman, keeping abreast the requisites for the necessary
skills for promoting innovation and
better utilizing elements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), such as
digital economy, artificial intelligence (AI), and data analytics.

IIMT training programs are supervised by prof. Ibrahim Akoum,
previously Dean of the Business College of Hariri Canadian University in
Lebanon, a consultant for the United Nations (UN-ESCWA), and worked at the
World Bank in Washington and the Arab Monetary Fund. He holds a Ph.D. in
International Political Economy and a Master’s degree in Public Policy Analysis
from the United States. He has over 30 years of professional experience in
executive training, and served for seven years as economic advisor for the
ministries of development, finance and economy, and the Capital Market
Authority (CMA) in Oman.
