The National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) sponsored a workshop organized in cooperation with the International Institute for Modern Training (IIMT) during May 26-30, 2024 under the title "Concepts and Mechanisms of Economic Analysis" with a focus on the Omani economy, at City Seasons Muscat Hotel, where the training material was prepared and presented by Professor Ibrahim Akoum, Director General of IIMT.  IIMT held today a workshop on the concepts and applications of behavioral economics for a distinguished group of employees at the Diwan of Royal Court presented by the Executive Director of the Institute, Dr. Ibrahim Akoum. The workshop discussed the difference between the schools of economic thought regarding the concept of behavioral economics, as well as the applications of behavioral economics at the microeconomics and macroeconomics levels, and its applications in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of Oman's Vision 2040.
